To help displaced fire victims find available rental properties, this "Bulletin Board for a Rental Clearing House" is being offered as a free service by the Rancho Bernardo Community Council.

How do I post a property for rent?
Send an email to Rental@RBCommunityCouncil.com
Be sure to include the address, attribues of the property, any restrictions, terms of the rental, and a name and phone number to call.
How do I remove a property from the list?
When the property has been rented, or is no longer being offered for rent, please send another email to Rental@RBCommunityCouncil.com asking that the listing be removed.
How long will the listing remain on the webpage?
Rental Listings will be removed after 30 days. If the property is still available for rent after that time, a new email should be sent to Rental@RBCommunityCouncil.com.

For those who have lost their homes or have damage due to the fires, the City has set up a 'one-stop-shopping' area at our Community Park, located at Rancho Bernardo-Glassman Recreation Center, 18448 West Bernardo Drive, San Diego, CA 92127, (858) 538-8129, www.RBCommunityPark.com. The facility has all the insurance companies set up to give aide, Red Cross, FEMA (helpful for those who did not have insurance), City Assessor's office, all utilities, food, clothing, etc. Mail delivery has been held for those who have been displaced by the fires. You can pick up your mail at the 'old' post office on Bernardo Center Drive, next to the fire station. The United States Postal Service will then assign you a post office box, free of charge, until you are settled. |

| Here is some information for friends who lost homes in the fire: The Westwood Club on West Bernardo Drive, www.rbwestwoodclub.com has a very, very large surplus of donated items for those who lost their homes in the fire. Everything from toiletries to socks, to toys and clothing, food and small appliances (even a load of Halloween costumes!). Many items are new. Also, the bulletin board has a number of resources and rental information for those in need. The outpouring of those in our community has been very impressive. Unfortunately, the Westwood Club is having a difficult time getting the word out. So much stuff, so little people! Feel free to stop by anytime during Club hours. Please also pass this information on to any of your neighbors who lost their homes. Also, they could really use some volunteers to help man the donation rooms. |
