District A	Westwood 92127
Dick Katz	I am a 10 year resident of Rancho Bernardo, having owned property in RB since 1989. I am a retired Industrial Technology teacher after 34 years. I taught Mechanical and Architectural Drawing, Math, and was District director of Driver and Traffic Safety education. Liaison to the NYS DMV, NY State Education Dept. Presently I am on the Westwood Valley Legends Board, Westwood Club Board, ARC for Westwood, member of RB Traffic and Transportation Committee. Married for 42 years, Proud father of three married daughters, three grandchildren, and two Golden Retreivers. My wife and I love Rancho Bernardo, and want to help to keep it as beautiful as it is today.
Patrick Horgan	RB Resident since 1978. Former SD Reserve Police officer. Held positions of Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice Chairman on the Board of Directors of the Miramar Federal Credit Union. Served on the coaching staff of RB Little League, RB Basketball, and RB Pop Warner Football. Former President of RB Pop Warner Football. Served as Treasurer and Vice President on the RB Recreation Council. President the RB Emergency Radio Service. (RBERS) Control Operator of the CALTRANS Emergency Radio Station, District 11. (CARS) Volunteer with the SD Sheriff Dept SVP. Served as the SVP Administrator of the 4S Ranch Sheriff Substation. Member of the SD RACES unit of the SD Sheriff Dept. Member of the RB CERT team. Member of the SD CERT Communications Team.
Peter Horgan	I have lived in Rancho Bernardo for 25 years and enjoy the way of life our community provides.. When I was younger I participated in the our community sports programs. Pop Warner, Basketball, and Little league and feel that I represent and give a voice to the youth of our community. I have done some volunteer work in the past and wish to contribute by maintaining our community standards, services, and way of life that we enjoy. I thank those who elected me to represent them.
Robin Kaufman	-Resident of Rancho Bernardo since 1975 -Co-Lead for Rancho Bernardo Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). A member since 2007 - Westwood District Coordinator for Neighborhood Watch - President of Rancho Bernardo Community Council -Honorary Mayor of Rancho Bernardo -Dog Park Liaison for the Rancho Bernardo Off Leash Dog Park 2002-present -President of San Diego Love On A Leash, a chapter of a national pet provided therapy organization 2005-present -Founder and President of San Diego Standard Poodle Social Club, with over 600 members 1999 to present. -Developed a weekly community e-newsletter which is distributed to several thousand residents 2005-present -Recipient of the San Diego North Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year Award 2003-2004 -Received proclamation by the San Diego County Board of Supervisors of Robin Kaufman Day on March 27, 2008. -Inducted into the Rancho Bernardo Hall of Fame 2004 -President of the Rancho Bernardo Hall of Fame -Treasurer of the Rancho Bernardo Recreation Council -Appointed by Mayor of San Diego to sit on the Citizen Review Board on Police Practices, 2009 to present -President of San Diego Love On A Leash, a chapter of a national pet provided therapy organization 2005-present -RB planning board member
District B Eastview - 92128
Debbra Jacobs-Robinson	After reviewing many places to spend their retirement years, Debbra and her husband Dave selected Rancho Bernardo and moved to their home in Eastview in June, 2010. Debbra is a graduate of UCLA, and a Certified Public Accountant. She looks forward to contributing to help keep Rancho Bernardo the place she liked so much when she and her husband were looking for their home. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, long distance running, swimming, biking, hiking, and tennis.
Dave Hall	Dave and his wife Linda are natives of San Diego and have lived in the Rancho Bernardo area for over 11 years. Dave is semi-retired from almost 50 years in law enforcement and law enforcement related activities. Dave serves on a number of boards including RB Swim and Tennis and the Rancho Bernardo Friends of the Library, among others. Dave is a returning board member of the Community Council; his term was cut short due to long term work in the Balkans. Dave is looking forward to representing the residents of East View and participating collaboratively with others who share a common interest in the Rancho Bernardo community.
District C Oaks North - 92128
Marla Cruz	I am a mother of 4 and grandmother of 5. I have over 18 years experience in Emergency/Disaster Preparedness which includes 6 years with the Vancouver (WA) Fire Department and 13 years with the American Red Cross (2 years as staff...the rest as a volunteer). I have volunteered for the Red Cross and worked in Fire Recovery during the 2007 Wildfires. Other volunteer activities include: District Coordinator for Neighborhood Watch, Community Fair Director for Spirit of the Fourth, volunteer for RB United, RB Historical Society and Fire Safe Council. Hobbies and activities include event and party planning, ushering at concerts, playing with grandchildren and selling Avon.
Betty Fish	I was born in California and grew up in Philadelphia where I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. I have lived in Oaks North for over 30 years. I feel the community centers and strongly enforced CC&Rs make Rancho Bernardo a most desirable place to live. I am involved in AAUW, the Women's Club, and enjoy lawn bowling at Oaks North.
District D Swim and Tennis - 92128
Steve Nartker	Steve Nartker I have been a resident of RB since 2004. In addition to the RB Community Council, I also serve on the Rancho Bernardo Community Library Association Board and the Mental Health Systems Inc. Board of Directors. I have two school age children and enjoy the lifestyle that Rancho Bernardo offers. I was first licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Michigan in the early ‘90s and currently run my own public accounting practice.
Ed Muna	Ed and his family have been calling Rancho Bernardo home for over 15 years. Ed has been an active member in the community’s youth sports, having coached baseball, basketball and soccer over the years for his kids. Ed's kids attend Bernardo Heights Middle and Rancho Bernardo High School. Ed works in commercial real estate, specializing in office development, leasing, management and sales.
Matt Stockton	I’m a native San Diegan who has been fortunate enough to call the Rancho Bernardo area “home” all of my life. I grew up in the Westwood neighborhood and now have my own place in district D of RB. I have an Associate’s Degree from Palomar College and will be wrapping up a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Ashford University in September of 2011. For 12 years, I volunteered and worked part time at the RB Community Park prepping softball fields for the RB Girls Softball League. Currently I am employed as an IT technician in San Diego. Rancho Bernardo is my home and I am honored to serve my district as well as the whole community on the Rancho Bernardo Community Council.
Terri Hunter	My family and I have lived in Gatewood Hills since 1993. I have been a REALTOR since 2001, serving the North County Inland area I have served as a volunteer for San Diego North Chamber of Commerce RB Alive committee CMR street fair committee Rancho Bernardo Little League Rancho Bernardo High School Grad-Nite committee San Diego Association of Realtors - Board of Directors 2005-2006 San Diego Association of Realtor Events committee My real estate Designations include: ABR, CRS, CDPE, SRES, SFR, QSC and Certified Mentor
District E Seven Oaks - 92128
Estelle Wolf	Estelle Wolf: I am a retired registered nurse who has lived and worked in New York, Florida, Idaho and now California. I have been living in Seven Oaks for thirteen years. While in Florida I served as president of my condominium association for 5 years. Professionally I have held a variety of administrative positions and sat on multiple committees that required planning and problem resolution.
Joe Dirks	Since moving to RB in ’01, Joe Dirks has served on the Board of Directors for Seven Oaks (as CFO after 1st serving on its Architectural Review Committee), on the RB Community Council (as Treasurer and on its Public Safety & Programs Committees), and on the RB Planning Board (as both Recording & Corresponding Secretaries and on the Election Committee). Joe also is active in CERT, RBERS, Code Compliance and is a member of the Knights of Columbus at San Rafael Church. Joe is a licensed amateur radio operator (KG6MRH) and also works part time at the Meadowbrook middle school.
District F Bernardo Heights - 92128
Guy Cargulia	I have lived in Rancho Bernardo since May 2001. I am happily retired in the Bernardo Heights section of Rancho Bernardo. I was born in New York City and also lived in New Jersey and Texas. My professional career includes: being employed as an engineer by a large military contractor, doing research at Princeton University, and math instructor at a junior college in Texas. I am also currently a Vice President of the California Alliance of Retired Americans.
Gina De Leo	Gina De Leo has lived in San Diego County for 4 years. She is currently a realtor and team member for IDR Homes LLC under the Prudential California Realty umbrella. She is also a Block Captain for the Neighborhood Watch Program. She’s married with 2 daughters.
Melissa Shoop	I am a Southern California native and 26 year resident of Rancho Bernardo. I've worked for the San Diego Superior Court for the past 24 years. I have an extensive community volunteer background which includes the Poway Unified School District, an active member on the Board of my Homeowners Association for 7 years serving as President for the past 3 years; and more recently as an Event Coordinator for a large International Ministry. I enjoy living in Rancho Bernardo and want to strongly support my District in any way that I can. I look forward to working with my neighbors in Bernardo Heights to hear their concerns and help to achieve the goals of the Rancho Bernardo Community Council.
District G High Country West - 92127

Carol McCotter	My name is Carol McCotter and I’ve lived in Rancho Bernardo since 1971. I’ve been on the Community Council representing District G for 2 years, and was recently elected Vice President of the RB Community Council. I’ve been a resident of High County West for the past 27 years. I graduated from Poway High, received my AA in General Studies and completed the course curriculum for Computer Science and Commercial Arts at Palomar College. I later earned a BA in Information Technology (I.T.) from the University of Phoenix. I’ve been participating in UCSD extended studies programs in computer science, project management, and information technology for the past several years in an ongoing attempt to keep current in a constantly changing industry. I’m currently an I.T. manager focusing on application development in the newspaper industry and work for the San Diego Union-Tribune. I’m looking forward to listening, learning, and doing what I can to improve the quality of life here in Rancho Bernardo through the RB Community Council. RB is a wonderful place to live, work, shop and play. I hope to do what I can to contribute. I’m very much interested in learning more about what topics and issues are important to you.

Jerry Sack	Resident of Rancho Bernardo since 2005 Resident of Seven Oaks since 2006 Lived in Bernardo Heights for one year in 1997/1998 Born and raised in Austin, Minnesota Married to my Wife Ann, for over 26 years Served 4 years in the U.S. Navy (1973 to 1977) Served over 31 years in the Fire Service Fire Chief at MCAS Miramar for 11 years (1997-2008) Fire Chief at MCAS El Toro (Orange County) Fire Chief U.S. Naval Academy (Annapolis. MD.) Fire Chief Marine Corps Logistics Base (Albany, GA) Employed at the Naval Shipyard Long Beach, CA. for over 12 years, holding every position from Firefighter to Fire Chief, before it’s closure (BRAC-95) Dedicated over 35 “GREAT” years of my LIFE to the Federal Government, before retiring on Sept. 4, 2008 Resident Member of the Public Safety Committee 2010-2011 Resident Member of the Traffic & Transportation Committee 2010-2011 RBCC’s Representative on the City of San Diego’s Public Safety & Neighborhood Services Committee Appointed RBCC's Public Safety Chair, 9/2011
