Robin Kaufman, President of the Rancho Bernardo Community Council, presented Jacques Lord with a Certificate of Appreciation during the December 2, 2011 meeting. Jacques Lord, a 2007 fire survivor, was recognized for his pro-active efforts of going as 'green as possible' when constructing his new home and for being the first Platinum LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) home in the communitiy.

Robin Kaufman, President of the Rancho Bernardo Community Council, presented Jerry Sack with a Certificate of Appreciation at the May 26, 2011 Community Council meeting. Jerry was recognized for his active participation as a resident on the RB Community Council's Public Safety Committee, Traffic Committee and for representing the RB Community Council at the city's Public Safety and Neighborhood Safety Committee meetings.

Joe Dirks, RB Community Council recipient for the 2011 Hats Off To Volunteers Award. Joe not only is our Treasurer, but is also our video photographer. Joe never hesitates to volunteer for any activity the RBCC may sponsor. He also sits on five different subcommittees.

 

Robin Kaufman, President of the Rancho Bernardo Community Council, presented Dick Walker with a Certificate of Appreciation at the September 23, 2010 Community Council meeting. Some of Dick's efforts to maintain the quality of life in Rancho Bernardo include holding the title of Chair of the Traffic and Transportation Committee for several years, sat on the Architectural Committee for the Swim and Tennis Club, assisted in the re-write of the CC&Rs for the Swim and Tennis area, Community Code Compliance volunteer, assisted with the development of the RB I-15 transit center, assists with RB street improvements and more.

Flo Logsdon was presented with a certificate of appreciation and a gift card from Epicurious at the March 25, 2010 Community Council meeting. Flo was presented the certificate of appreciation for her volunteerism as a Seven Oaks block captain for RB Neighborhood Watch, for baking over 200 pounds worth of treats for sick or homebound neighbors and friends, for recycling old fur coats into stuffed Scottish Terriers and donating them to hospice patients she and her therapy dogs visit, and for going door to door collecting funds for the Fire Station 33 Renovation Project.

Robin Kaufman, Vice President of the Rancho Bernardo Community Council and Co-Chair of the Fire Station 33 Renovation Committee, presented Chief Jarman with the certificate of appreciation for her dedication to the city Fire-Rescue Department since 1984 as well as our community and for playing such an instrumental part of the renovation of the Rancho Bernardo fire station. The Presentation was made at the July, 2009 meeting.
 


Paul Lennon, the Rancho Bernardo Community Relations Officer (CRO) received a special certificate of recognition from the Rancho Bernardo Community Council at the meeting on May 28, 2009. Due to city cutbacks, Paul will be retiring from the police force in June, after 29 years of service. He has been the CRO for Rancho Bernardo since 1995, a resident of Rancho Bernardo for 12 years and a little league coach for 10 years.

The Rancho Bernardo Community Council wishes Paul the best in his future endeavors.
